Rahim Ahmed Solicitors is an SRA-regulated law firm based in Prestwich, Greater Manchester. We provide clear, practical legal advice and representation on matters within the jurisdiction of England and Wales, while our immigration services are available to clients throughout the United Kingdom.
Led by Rahim Ahmed, the firm draws upon experience developed across community advice, Law Centre casework, specialist litigation, private practice, consultancy and legal supervision. We aim to make legal services accessible and understandable, keep clients properly informed and provide realistic advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.

As Director of Rahim Ahmed Solicitors, Rahim is responsible for the firm’s legal direction, professional standards and approach to client care. His work is guided by a longstanding commitment to access to justice and to helping people understand and protect their legal rights.

Rahim graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2008 and completed the Legal Practice Course with Commendation in 2010. During his studies, he volunteered with Citizens Advice and later with Trafford Law Centre, receiving adviser training and supporting people facing legal and everyday problems. These early experiences established values that continue to shape his work: listening carefully, explaining matters clearly and helping people find a practical way forward.

In 2011, Rahim joined Trafford Law Centre as a caseworker. He managed legally aided matters involving housing, employment, immigration and asylum, delivered outreach advice sessions and managed a weekly drop-in clinic. He also recruited and supervised volunteers. During this period, he achieved Level 1 accreditation under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Law Accreditation Scheme and qualified as an OISC Level 2 Immigration Adviser.

Rahim subsequently moved into private practice, working at MRH Solicitors in Bolton before joining Amelans Solicitors, where he completed his training contract. Following his admission as a solicitor on 15 February 2017, he worked at Optimal Solicitors and Bott & Co Solicitors. These roles developed his experience in personal injury litigation, road traffic accident claims, claims involving uninsured and untraced drivers, employers’ liability and public liability matters, court procedures, negotiation and client care.

Since 2018, Rahim’s consultancy and self-employed practice has broadened his experience across immigration, asylum and nationality law, landlord and tenant matters, family law, employment law and settlement agreements, debt recovery and general civil disputes. He has also undertaken team leadership responsibilities, including supervising junior fee earners and support staff, reviewing files and monitoring procedural compliance and service standards.

Rahim’s early work with Citizens Advice and Trafford Law Centre continues to influence the values of Rahim Ahmed Solicitors. He believes that people facing legal problems should be able to understand their position, access practical advice and be treated as individuals rather than file numbers.
