How to raise a concern

Rahim Ahmed Solicitors aims to provide a high standard of service. If you are dissatisfied with our service or charges, we want the opportunity to resolve the matter.

We ask you first, where appropriate, to raise your concern with the person dealing with your matter. Many concerns can be resolved quickly in this way.

Making a formal complaint

If your concern has not been resolved to your satisfaction, or if you do not feel able to raise it with the person dealing with your matter, you may make a formal complaint to our Complaints Officer:

Email: info@rahimahmedsolicitors.co.uk

You may complain by telephone, email or post. It is helpful if you provide your name and contact details, your file or matter reference if known, a brief explanation of the complaint and what you would like us to do.

What happens after you complain

We will acknowledge and investigate your complaint promptly, fairly and free of charge. We may review the file and relevant correspondence, obtain information from those involved and contact you if further information is required.

We will provide our final written response as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any event, within eight weeks of receiving the complaint.

Our full complaints procedure

Further information about how we handle complaints is contained in our full Complaints Handling Procedure.

If we cannot resolve your complaint

If you remain dissatisfied after our final response, or if eight weeks have passed since you made your complaint and it has not been resolved, you may be eligible to complain to the Legal Ombudsman. Ordinarily, a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman must be made within six months of our final response and no more than one year from the act or omission complained of, or no more than one year from when you should reasonably have known that there was cause for complaint.

Further information is available at: www.legalombudsman.org.uk.

Concerns about professional conduct or serious breaches of regulatory requirements may be raised with the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Further information is available at:
