Where possible, we will seek to help you resolve matters efficiently and by agreement. Where court proceedings are necessary, we can advise and represent you throughout the process.

Advice and assistance with divorce proceedings, including preparing and progressing divorce applications through to the final order.
CHILD ARRANGEMENTS
Advice and representation concerning arrangements for children following separation, including where children should live and the time they should spend with each parent.
FINANCIAL AGREEMENTS AND CLEAN BREAK ORDERS
Advice and assistance where separating or divorcing spouses have reached, or are seeking to reach, agreement concerning their financial arrangements, including preparation of consent orders and clean break provisions where appropriate.
DIVORCE AND SEPARATION
Divorce is the legal process by which a marriage is brought to an end.
We can advise you on the divorce process, prepare and submit the necessary application and correspondence and deal with the procedural steps required to progress the divorce towards a final order.
A divorce itself does not necessarily resolve financial matters between spouses. It is therefore important to consider whether separate arrangements or a court order dealing with financial matters may also be appropriate.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHILDREN
When parents separate, decisions may need to be made about where children will live, when they will spend time with each parent and other important aspects of their upbringing.
Wherever appropriate, arrangements can be agreed between parents without court proceedings.
Where agreement cannot be reached, we can advise on the options available and, where appropriate, assist with an application to the Family Court for a child arrangements order or other relevant order.
Depending on the circumstances, mediation or attendance at a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting may need to be considered before a court application is made.
Our focus will remain on the individual circumstances of the child and the issues which require resolution.
FINANCIAL AGREEMENTS AND CLEAN BREAKS
Divorce does not automatically bring all financial claims between former spouses to an end.
Where financial arrangements have been agreed, we can advise on preparing the appropriate consent order and supporting documentation so that the agreement can be placed before the court for approval.
Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate order may provide for a clean break so that future financial claims between the parties are brought to an end.
We can also assist with negotiations concerning appropriate financial terms where the issues are suitable for us to undertake.

Where appropriate, we consider whether the issues can be resolved by agreement, correspondence, negotiation or another suitable form of dispute resolution.
We prepare the appropriate applications, agreements, consent orders or other documents required for your matter.
Where an agreement cannot be reached or a court order is required, we can advise and represent you through the relevant court process.
FEES
We offer fixed fees for certain defined family law services. Other work may be charged on an hourly basis depending upon the nature and scope of the work required.
Before you instruct us, we will explain the work we are being asked to undertake and the basis upon which you will be charged.
